Surveying the second oldest profession
Surveying has always provided society the means for the orderly progression of civilization. It has often been said that if it weren't for surveyors, there would be nothing here. While this statement maybe somewhat simplistic, it is nonetheless true. The surveyor first establishes the boundary of the land and then maps out the physical features. He stakes out the proposed locations of the structure and improvements to be built. Oftentimes, he is called upon to return after construction is completed to provide a permanent record of any changes which may have been effected.
